Proven Traditions
Located in Northwestern OH, Final Drive Farm roots extend back to childhood. Our family grew up learning about farm life and livestock as our father was a full-time farmer. He lead our family toward involvement in 4-H and FFA where he began raising and competitively showing livestock. This led to us raiseing livestock of our own. FDF began raising competitive club lambs and show cattle following the passions of our children. They have had a great deal of success competing with their animals at the county, state, and national levels.
A key factor in the success of FDF is the loyal and steadfast protection provided by our livestock guardians, the Great Pyrenees. We fell in love with this breed and began breeding purebred AKC registered Great Pyrenees in the early 1990's. In addition to protecting livestock, our Great Pyrenees have always been and continue to be loving, family companions.
The FDF dog breeding program has evolved over the years. It all began with purebred great pyrenees, and with great excitement, has risen to Pyredoodles and Bernedoodles. After meeting several of the doodle breeds, it became obvious that the Great Pyrenees would make an ideal poodle cross due to their calm, gentle nature. Once meeting several Bernedoodles and falling head over heals in love, FDF has begun breeding Bernedoodles as well. Longevity, lack of shedding, and overall health and wellness are among the many benefits of crossing the Great Pyrenees and Bernese Mountain Dog with the Standard Bred Poodle.
